Management want your money ... thats it

Its a very nice apartment complex ... no getting around that ... you will get oohs and aahs from most people who come to your home. However, there is an underlying customer service problem with this apartment this is hard to understand, given the astronomical rent they charge.

THE MANAGEMENT isn't very good.
It wasn't so bad until they got bought out (or something like that) and changed out all the people in the leasing office.
At least then you knew the folks in the front office and could talk to them about problems one-on-one.
Now they're just concerned with putting warm bodies into rooms and all else is out the window.

some examples
- to re-tar the drives in the apartment this year ... you got one notice about 2 days before, to move your car, after that they towed your car and charged you (note the "charged you" part).
- Maintennance requests now take forever to get fixed ... when I first got here, they'd be turned around in a day or two.
Now I have a pending request that has been put out for a week (second one like that).
- THE WATER SEEMS TO BE SHUT OFF EVERY FRICKIN' WEEK (I am not kidding ... there have been at least 10 or 11 of these this year alone), along with some bs letter barely 24 hrs before ... telling you what they're planning to do, which means by the time you get it, your water is probably gone. New in town' ... don't know anyone who will let you shower at their place' SOL buddy ... the frickin' maintennance dude even gave me lip on this (I do have to say, the maintennance people are usually good guys, this was an aberration)
- On the tarring job ... (which wasn't done all that well I might add) they had to do another treatment of the tar, because it had cracked open ... no prior warning ... they just re-routed traffic and not even smartly ... it meant if you wanted to check your mail on the way to work ... you couldn't that day.
- They have had one dumpster for the ENTIRE apartment complex ... and don't plan on changing it (and there is no trash pickup ... can't even pay to get it)
- they routinely raise the rent ($40) after every lease term, probably standard practice at all apartment complexes nowadays but remember that when you sign.

Note:
Maybe I'm being a bellyacher ... but for $700 I expect a little bit more finesse and foresight than these guys have shown, plus its never their fault ... its always an "EMERGENCY" ... nobody ever just says "Sorry, we screwed up".

You'll probably do okay if you are an 8-5pm person or don't mind being inconvenienced every other week or so.
But these guys expect you to do your lease and move on ... no warm hugs and kisses here.

I agree with you. I've been there for a couple of years and nothing gets fixed. The hot tub has never worked. They hire illegal aliens (but protect themselves by doing it through contractors). The locks on the gates are all broken. The internet was screwed up (until I fixed it). The water has been an issue for forever now it seems and they don't realize that the only reason anyone stays there is because of the lake. If it weren't for that I would have left long ago. They run the place with all the professionalism of a trashy red-neck trailer park.
