The key to my moving in was and has been the lake. Everything else here has been mediocre at best.

Now it seems with the so-called upgrades everything has gone from mediocre to terrible.

The water is off every other day from 10-5, trashy red-neck construction workers are dropping their cigarette butts everywhere and tossing nails all about (are these even citizens'). Chronic noise issues from pounding above, below and on either side. Very few permanent residents are here because of the transient corporate rentals which have seemed to have taken over. Things which are reported on and need fixing are not fixed in a timely manner.

Oh, and get this - you are on is collective water billing pool which means that YOU pay for the water usage of others in your building. This wouldn't have been so terrible except for the fact that the apartments upstairs have toilets which run constantly.

If you love guano from birds, this is a sweet spot because the barn swallows come back like those at Capistrano year after year to mate and poop up a storm all over the stairs so you can track it in and get it all over your carpet so that your dog or cat will get a lung infection from the toxic bacteria and parasites these avian rat-birds carry.

*sigh*

This place really IS for the birds.

um, it has to do with the staff in the part where he said things being reported on aren't fixed in a timely matter (or sometimes ever at this place)
