never again

It's been over a year since I lived at the Falls, and I am still bitter about it. They claim to be dog friendly, but post nasty notes in public areas for all to read about the problems with having dogs on property (i.e. barking, poop, etc.) I don't like being threatened about my pets, whom I view as my children basically, and would have much preferred to be talked to like a human being. I lived in the front of the complex where it was dangerously dark, right by the highway, and a prime target for break-ins. I complained about the lights being out for at least 6 months of the year that I lived there. I read in the newspaper about a month after I moved in that a girl was raped in the building right next to mine. I'm sorry that happened to her, but I'm glad it wasn't me. My car was broken into and the staff showed no concern whatsoever. I gave them several suggestions as to what to do about the crime threat at the front and didn't get so much as a "We'll look into those options," only a "We don't have the budget for that." I hope the new management there really has improved the place enough that it's not as bad in the front. Maintenance seemed to care even less. My dog tore up my kitchen floor, which was my fault and I was perfectly willing to pay for every penny of it. It took weeks for them to come out, they did it completely wrong, and it took 2 months for me to finally get in writing that I wouldn't be charged again for the necessary repairs once I moved out due to their inadequate work. The only thing I miss about that place is the pool; it was fantastic.
