I loved it, small faults and all

I loved living at the Falls. My apartment was huge and really nice for a good price. There were a few minor problems that I'll mention at random but none of these would've been enough to have me think about moving out had I been able to stay in Austin. It is true that the hot tub rarely worked (and if it did it smelt like complete crap because people would spend all night drinking and peeing in it and it wasn't ever cleaned) but really, who needs an outside hot tub in Texas'' One of the maintenance guys explained to me that the system the hot tub ran from was outdated and therefore extremely hard to find parts for repairs. He also mentioned they wanted to get a new system for it but it would cost way too much. Plus, if they had to replace the hot tub people would b**** about that too. The pool was great though. I did have a problem with cockroaches but again, it's almost impossible to avoid them when you live in Texas. I mentioned it to the staff thinking they'd blow it off but they had someone come in a few days later and put some kind of powder down. It didn't work, but at least they cared. The maintenance crew was really nice and did a great job. For about a week it seemed the AC was inadequate and always had to be running to keep my apartment above 70 but that didn't last long. The floors and counters weren't completely straight because the area is so hilly but that didn't bother me at all. I think the worst thing (which isn't horrible) was when they turned the water off for half a day without warning. Also, make sure you give them 30 days written notice before moving out no matter when your lease expires...not renewing your lease isn't enough to keep them from charging you (or at least tyring to charge you) for the month after you move out. There were a few stray cats running around but they didn't hurt anything. Lastly, it kinda sucked living right off of the highway and having to pull a U-turn to go southbound on Capital of Texas Hwy and having to pull another U-turn to get back into the complex. I loved having the accent wall, tons and tons of storage space, and new carpeting and appliances. I really miss living there...trust me, my place there was ten times better than any place in Maryland.
