Not only is this place ascetically neglected and poorly maintained, but they try to manipulate you out of your money at every turn. You will be told one thing, then be charged for another. I have lived here for a year and have put up with the poor service which takes about 4 days to fix a toilet and I guess a year to fix a peep hole that doesn't work (which is a huge safety issue, and was never fixed despite putting in three maintenance requests). I greatly discourage anyone from living here, unless you want to be conned out of your money and live in an unsafe dump. The apartment is old, the laundry facility is disgusting and the washer and dryers are always out of order, trash is always overflowing the dumpsters, and the area itself is very unsafe. The police are at this apartment complex nearly as often as the residents are. Cars are regularly towed by overzealous money hungry towing companies and others are broken into as the apartment is not gated or protected in any way. The water is turned off on a daily basis and the toilets flush eventually, usually by the third try. Overall, the apartments are far below average. There is poor lighting at night which obviously is a safety issue. The apartment units are old and poorly maintained/painted/constructed. The unprofessional staff is inflexible and sarcastic and treats tenants unfairly to make money. The area is unsafe and the apartment owners manipulate their tenants. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone and cannot wait to leave.

We used to live there and still frequent the Blockbuster at S.Lamar and Manchaca. Everytime we exit Ben White and drive down Manchaca past that hideous establishment, we say a small prayer for the current residents.
