This is my second review of these apartments that I am posting. I moved into the Forest in the fall of 07 after a break up and I desperately needed temporary living arrangement. From the very first day I wished I had not. First of all, the unit I am renting was rented out to me in the worst condition possible. On my walk through sheet I noted some things that were in dire need of repair for safety issues. My second floor balcony is rotting off the side of the building. Several railings are missing and my small child could fit through it and fall to the sidewalk below. The chimney to my fireplace is covered with limbs from tree branches dangling right above. I asked them to please fix these thing. I have lived here 4 months and neither of these things have been addressed. The complex offers a laundry facility on site but I refuse to do my laundry here. I take it to a laundromat down the street. The floor is filthy, FILTHY, absolutely covered in grime and dirt and mold. I have used the facility twice and both times used my own disinfectant cleaner to wipe down machines before I dare put my clothes in. The water in my unit is turned off once about every 1 to 2 weeks, usually when Im in the shower, or during the time Im trying to get ready for work, with no notice whatsoever. There has been constant roach infestation and we keep our unit very very clean. The exterminator that came to my unit told me that spraying at this complex is a losing battle because of how filthy it is. None of the courtyard lights are working. For 2 months one of the light poles lay across one of the sidewalks, broken in two. Every time I walk into the office the manager, Tammy, is yelling and screaming at someone in the back or at no one in particular. One of my good friend's car got towed Halloween evening. We took them tow court and won because we had pictures to prove that there was no sign or marking stating she could not park in our lot. Tammy lied during the court visit to the judge. This week was the last straw, as my entire apt community has been covered with graffiti. I have had it. I will never recommend this apt to anyone.
