JUST LEFT THE ANTS AND ROACHES

The ONE positive response that was posted was probably someone with low expectations and a sense of delusion. I just moved out and was ecstatic.
When I signed my lease, the management staff was so sweeeeet and funnyyyyy... but then as I began to come to them to fix issues in the apartment (which was recently renovated and shouldn't have NEEDED fixing), one in particular turned very snide and cold. Upon moving in, the top pad lock on my front door had not been installed, my bathroom sink was leaking, there was no hot water in the shower (I spent the whole first weekend giving myself sponge-baths), and my smoke detector was beeping. Simple repairs, no big deal, right' That Monday, I turned in my apartment checklist and requested maintenance. Well, instead of repairing the smoke detector they removed the batteries completely, they only minimized the water dripping under the sink, and after I had hot water in my shower, I no longer had it in my kitchen/bathroom sinks or in my dishwasher.
After about a month, my car was towed because they didn't tell me I needed a parking sticker. At about the same time, I had to threaten going to the Austin Tenant's Council to report them in order to get my front door lock installed! In addition, I caulked my own bathroom because the ants were coming in from every direction.
On to the roaches. Keep in mind that this place CHARGES every month for pest control! My downstairs neighbor had an awful problem with roaches, including an episode where she found one on her SHOULDER while showering. I went with her to complain, and as we walked in, ANOTHER resident was complaining about the roaches. They had gone on vacation and decided to set off a few bug bombs while they were gone. (Note "A FEW" because there are so many roaches.) They came home to find every square inch of the floor covered in them. All the management did was humm and haw because they know they're fighting a losing battle.
Oh, and they closed a hole where a squirrel had crawled into the attic, so now the squirrel is stuck, scratching and nesting alllllll over that building.
One of the office ladies is a doll and I'd do anything for her. The other one is useless.

Too bad you have to hide behind the computer! Did you ever try to talk to mgmt or mgmt company about the problems? My experience with them has been great; maint requests get completed in a satisfactory and timely manner and the office ladies are very nice and helpful. I don't know where you are from, but welcome to Texas, we have all sorts of bugs. One more question, if one of the ladies is a doll and you would do anything for, why did you rate the office staff the lowest of all the catogories?
