Parking isn't too bad. But cars OFTEN get broken into. So safety is an issue.
Noise isn't a big problem. But you can totally the hear people who live around you.
Grounds are alright. Nothing special.
Safety...hmm..well with bikes and parts being stolen and cars getting broken into and bums hanging out there...
Construction...blah!
Maintenances = blah.
Staff = Tom isn't very personable or caring.

I moved in here a few months before this person wrote this review. I have seen a bum hanging out around here maybe ONCE in over a year. My car was never broken into the 12 months I had one here (but then it didn't look like it had anything good in it either). The courtyard is more than "just all right." There is a caretaker working on keeping the lawns and trees and other landscaping nice almost every day of the week. I have NEVER had any electrical problems here, and I can hear birds singing from the trees in the courtyard during the Spring. Yes, the place costs TOO MUCH, but if you can stand to pay too much for what you are getting I still say it's nifty -- and close to buses, groceries, just about everything.

Agree with first post on these issues: construction, poor maintenance, electrical problems, staff blah. In addition to those complaints, when I moved out Tom had scheduled someone to move in the day after my lease ended. My lease ended on a Saturday and when my place wasn't completely empty on the Thursday prior, he called to yell at me b/c he needed to have it cleaned before someone else moved in. I told him if he felt like refunding me for my rent on Friday and Saturday I'd be happy to clear out by Thursday, which he didn't want to do but then told me I needed to take care of steam cleaning the carpet and getting it into move in condition. Tom is more than "not very personable or caring," he's sort of an -------. One of my neighbors had the new tenant show up 4 days before her move out date expecting to be able to move in because Tom had OVERLAPPED their leases. My other neighbor found out that Tom had scheduled someone to move into his apartment-- except he never asked my neighbor if he was intending on leaving (which he wasn't). As of 2006 when I left, the walls were baby ---- brown. And, someone did die in the pool in 2005 and we were never told anything about it. The creepy maintenance man disappeared at the same (I don't know if he was fired or if he skidaddled b/c he thought he'd be held responsible), but that was the very tiny, miniscule silver lining to the pool death ordeal-- no maintenance leering through my windows. At the time, though, it was better than my previous landlord who had to be threatened with having her place condemned b/c the electrical system was so outdated (couldn't run a fridge and 2 window AC units on it) that it was a hazard to our health. The joys of living near a major college campus.
