If you get to know the staff, they are friendly and take the time to provide assistance on just about anything. There has been several changes in staff, but you just make new friends with a company that strives to provide good customer service. If you want to be a party animal, live closer to the pool, if you want quieter, then look at how the complex is laid out and there are lots of very quiet areas. I have had unexpected things that needed immediate attention and they gave me immediate attention... so yes it is not a cheap complex, but it is competitive in this market and they are continuing to make improvements, both in long term maintenance and short term replacement of equipment. I know because I have seen the pool resurfaced, the parking lot repaved, the iron gates and fencing repaired and the entire place repainted. But they do not have microwaves, however, they give you a Washer and Dryer. WHICH ONE WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE' I am proud to live at the Gables Town Lake!!!
