The vast majority of people of who fill out these apt review surveys are those who are pissed off, rightly or wrongly, while those who like it just fine don't bother because they don't care. I fall into the latter category, and figured I'd fill out a fair review while I'm here:
The place is fine. It is very clean and well-maintained, mostly on account of the buildings being fairly new. A trash service comes around and takes out your trash for you (just leave the waste basket outside by the door) every Sunday-Thursday night (they get Fri/Sat off). Maintenance requests, in our experience, have been addressed immediately (the A/C box in our apt stopped working; we called around 8pm and someone came and fixed it by 8:30). If you have a dog, it's great. The complex allows pets and is right next door to Central Park, which is a great place for walks. It's also right next to Central Market, which is very convenient. The staff is courteous.
It occurred to me that the people who complain about this place might be undergrads. It's true, the place is a broad mix of undergrads, grad students, young professionals, and even senior citizens. The mix makes it less of an undergrad zoo, however, which for my fiancee and I is just fine -- we're pretty low key (she's a grad student; I'm a lawyer) and aren't going to get pissed off about a neighbor filing a noise complaint for our keg party. So if you're looking for the frat life, this place will disappoint you.
For everybody else, though, it's just fine.
