I moved into the Gables at the Terrace because it's one of the few apartment complexes in Austin that allows aggressive breed dogs. Not only were they not up front with me on the expenses to go along with the apartment (i.e. the monthly pet fee & monthly water bill additional to what you have to pay to City of Austin) but they also fail to tell you that unless you pay $65.00/month on a car-port...YOU WILL NEVER FIND A PARKING SPOT. Also, good luck having a visitor or guests. Two of my friends got their cars towed for leaving it in a regular parking spot for literally 2 hours or less. It's just ridiculous. They shorted me on my deposit when I moved out and they were not willing to work with me AT ALL when I wanted to upgrade to a 2 bedroom. They made me re-pay all deposits AND application fees and wouldn't transfer anything over for me. I would not recommend the Gables to ANYONE...extremely overpriced for the hassle that you have to deal with in living there!
