I don't know what the last reviewer was thinking......

I should have known that this was going to be a bad renting experience from the start. I gave a deposit on a third floor one bedroom apartment w/ vaulted ceilings & they said that all the apartments had the same vinyl as the one they showed me (a lovely faux stone look that is very difficult to distinguish from the real thing). I was sooo excited about moving there that when the apartment that I was going to move into became vacant, I came back to tour. They showed me a second floor apartment w/ crappy floors and no vaulted ceiling. I asked what happened and showed them my copy of the lease that I had signed designating a different apartment number. It turns out that they had whited out the apartment number on their copy and changed my assigned apartment without my signature. THAT IS SOOOO ILLEGAL! So I had to wait to get the apartment that I wanted. I was willing to wait b/c the new apartment had a killer view and I got a great deal on my rent (probably so I wouldn't take them to court). When I leased, they had a spa that they were "fixing." Their idea of fixing is to fill it in w/ sand and build a pavillion around it. WHATEVER! The property manager is a total witch. She is unaccomodating at best. The dishwasher in my apartment is a joke. The parking lot is pitch black, and the parking by my unit is awful! Forget trying to get close after 4:00pm when most people get home from work. Let's see, pitch black parking lot and a long walk. Sounds like a recipe for a mugging to me. If you read the first review, you will note that someone was supposedly murdered in the parking lot in 2000' I don't know anything about it, but I could easily see it happen. Some of the bottom floor apartments in the lower elevations of the community flood, so be careful. On the plus side, prices are good and the setting is beautiful. I am leaving after only one year. I lived in my last apartment for 3 years. I HATE MOVING, BUT I MUST ESCAPE.
