Bad Vibes

I may not have the right to review this place since I didn't move in, but I was about to move in and I'm glad I didn't. The 1/1 we were about to lease was small, had older cabinetry with "dummy" drawers in the bathroom, and had a very small concrete patio with no fence. This was on the first floor- upper floors' patios were fenced. The location was the main selling point for us, it being nestled in the trees and near the Arboretum. However, other reviews on here mention how strict the management is. We found that they were not going to pay ANY bills, not even water and trash. They charge $50 per person for the ap, which meant $100 for my husband and I, PLUS a $150 admin fee. Most places are maybe $35-45 for ap and maybe $50 for admin. AND, their deposit is a crazy $500 or you can pay a "sure" deposit of $87 which means you will cover any damages at the end of your lease at that time. And it is true that they are not very lenient with paying the rent a few days after the 1st. You have just the first and 2nd day of the month after that, a $50 fee and $10 each day after. I asked about holding packages, and the lady said they have a box or something for packages but they can't hold them at the office. UPS they won't hold at all. I just got a very strict vibe from this place, and of course the inside of the apartment and the small patio, small storage weren't good selling points either. The trees and the Arboretum are what you're getting. We had put the money on the apartment, the ap and admin, and after we drove off I couldn't let go of the negative feelings I had. I called on the road to say we changed our mind just maybe 30 min after we left, and they would only give us the $150 admin fee, they kept the $100 ap fee we paid, just 30 min earlier. That only proved my negative feelings about the management. $100 lost-ouch!, but at least we didn't get stuck in a lease.

You are lucky, I lived in that hell hole for months until I found someone dumb enough to take over my lease.
