This is linked to the shoddy construction. If anyone living in your apartment building smokes indoors, the smoke will get into your apartment. The A/C ducts must have holes all through them, because they bring in the smoky air. In addition, there are all kinds of gaps in the drywallk, where pipes, electrical outlets, or light fixtures are located. I live in my neighbor's chimney, and my allergies are triggered every evening when they get home and light up. Management/maintenance has done nothing to help.
