I've lived here for about a year and a half now, but I've chosen not to renew my lease because my rent was increased (although now that I'm shopping it seems to have increased everywhere!).
I never had any issues with rodents or anything to that effect. In fact, I've had a fairly pleasant experience overall. The maintenance staff has been responsive to my requests, usually things have been fixed within 1-2 days.
The only thing I don't like about this place is that it's not as insulated as I would have liked. The pipes are very noisy when you're running a bath, and my upstairs neighbor likes to take baths at midnight and the noise has woken me up. Also I can hear my upstairs neighbor moving around - she has a dog and I can hear it running around the apartment. Very irritating when you're trying to work from home or get some sleep.
The apartment itself is quite nice, it seems well built and I really like the spacious kitchen. My utility bills seem reasonable, although there are months when I don't use much electricity at all and my bill will spike from about $50 up to $80 without any reasonable explanation. The water is allocated and is quite expensive. I have a 1 bedroom with 717 sq. ft and I pay about $30 a month for water. I'm pretty sure you end up paying for the pool and irrigation water with your bill.
There is a security gate but it isn't closed very often. I believe they were doing work on the gate for about 2 months before they finally got it to start closing regularly. Over the last few months it has been closed more often.
Oh, and in case you are looking for a one bedroom, be sure to ask which features will come with your specific apartment! I was shown a one bedroom model that I really liked, but when I moved in I had an apartment that had an entire wall covered in mirrors that I had NOT known about (and didn't really like). Of course, there wasn't anything I could do about it at that point because I had already signed the contract. But if the idea of staring at yourself in the wall creeps you out (most of my guests are a little surprised) you might want to specify that you don't want the apartments with mirrors.
Overall I have enjoyed living in this apartment, but I'm ready for something a bit nicer with better insulation between me and my neighbors.

Just an update - after looking around town I've decided to renew my lease because it's much cheaper to stay here, even with the rent increase. This will be my third renewal at this property.
