Ok Apartments, Huge Bug Problem and a 40 Watt Staff

If you live on the first floor, you apartment will be crawling with all kinds of bugs. I had a huge millipede invasion in the fall, and numerous other creepies throughout the year. The apartments are older, so you get single pane windows, and the buildings are not very energy efficient. Expect high utility bills.

Like all apartments, noise is an issue. Expect the worse if you have inconsiderate neighbors.

About the staff... They not rude or mean, but they're not at all very bright. I liken them to 40 watt bulbs. I have left 5 voice mail messages and spoke to two staff members that I have in fact paid October's utility bills, and even gave them the check number and the date the check was cashed. They are still sending me notices to pay October's utility bills. It's as if I never spoke to anyone at the office. They all seem to develop a severe case of amnesia when I reiterate my already cashed check number. If you have a problem, count on no good help from the staff. If you're lucky enough not to need the staff, then lucky you!

The staff used be very good when I first moved in, but now, all they have are 40 watts working in the front office. What a shame...

The apartments will ***NOT*** sign for UPS or any other kind of delivery packages, so be aware. This is cheap - this is the only apartment complex that I've ever heard of that will not sign for packages.

Myself, I'm moving out after my lease expires. While it's an ok place to live, the bugs and staff make it not worth staying here. There are so many other apartments in North Austin that finding a better place is not going to be hard to do.

I was lucky enough to get an apartment that did not have a washer and dryer in it already, but most come with one. And if you ask them to remove their washer and dryer so you can use yours, they won't. They force you to rent theirs. That was going to happen to me until a different apartment opened up and I got one without a washer and dryer.
