We had a great time living there, but dealing with management post-lease has been a terrible experience. We had a wonderful experience while living at Gables Great Hills. The wooded area afforded lots of shade (keeping energy costs down) and it was beautiful. However, upon leaving, we were told one thing by the complex manager in terms of what we owed. We paid it, and went on our way into a mortgage. Two months later, we received notice from the corporate office that we owed more than the total of one month's rent plus a reletting fee, something we thought we had paid according to what the complex manager said. Corporate is now holding us hostage with fees and charges that we are unable to manuever around, due to lease terms that were ignored in what the complex manager said to us.
This may be as much our fault as theirs, but our experience with the management at the corporate level even before this was never good; mysterious charges, two different stories about lease terms (often in contradiction to what the lease said). Rates went up beyond the rate of inflation/demand, and it was never worth the price in terms of space or parking availability.
