I am just moving in this month but so far the place seems awesome. They have been renovating a while now and it is just getting nicer. The building is so unique and "Austin", plus it is an amazing location. I am very lucky to have a beautiful unit with hardwood floors and newer appliances and the owner is letting me paint the walls to suit my taste. The view is amazing of downtown. My favorite feature is the windows that span the entire wall throughout the livingroom and bedroom. My friend has lived in the building for a year and she loves it. Her landlord is not as nice as mine, as hers is owned by a company rather that just an individual, but she only has nice things to say about the building. I've met Chuck too and he seems nice, not creepy...He is always at the entrance when I come in, not lurking around listening to peoples conversations or looking at thier cars. I don't get it... My only concern is the summer, I hope it does not get too hot, but I am getting curtains to help with that. And my friend never had a problem keeping her unit cool last summer, but she did have to keep the blinds closed during the heat of the day. And I don't care if older people live there are not. Hello, I have a life and my own friends, I dont care who my neighbors are as long as they are safe to live by. Plus, old people are nice, at least to me but then again, I am a nice person too and I get along with everyone unless you aren't a decent person. Finally, one of the best things...it is only a $3 cab ride downtown or like a 15 minute walk. No more worrying about how to get home safe.
