I have lived in many cities in the US and although my apt at GT is not the most excellent it does offer a great value. IT has great light, huge windows and nice staff. There is an adequate parking area, and security staff from 9pm to 5am. The pool is actually quite nice and there is a jacuzzi as well which people use during the summer months. The A/C works nice, and although the temperature might vary depending on the amount of sun exposure your apt gets it is generally quite good. Obviously the apts near the roof that get a lot of sun tend to be hotter, particularly those with southern exposure. The A/C system is set to work automagically and switches from heat to cold. In my apt I can adust the temperature but some units with old thermostats just don't fare very well, so if you rent a unit with an old thermostat make sure it works!

The building underwent recent renovations and there is a large number of people that actually own apts and live here, meaning that the building is well kept. It is an adult living community with a range of individuals ranging from young students to old retired individuals. IF you want to be surrounded by young people and party all the time this is not the place for you. IF you want to live like an adult this will work for you. Of course you can invite people over. Loudness after a certain time of the night will of course be frowned upon.

In general it is quite a happy place with an awesome location relative to the city and campus. Coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. Parks very nearby. The capitol grounds are nice and the building has a great view of downtown.
