I'm a student and have lived at GWT for a year now. I've had a great experience living here, especially after my owners dropped University Realty as their managing company. The condos are great, and many have been newly renovated. The fact that the building employs a security guard every night is a great feature, as both of the guys who work here, Chuck and Jay, are excellent people. All bills paid is a wonderful thing, and contrary to an earlier post, you CAN control the temp in your individual apartment. The full walls of windows are fantastic (tons of natural light!) and my friends are always impressed with my fantastic view of campus. As far as parking goes, my spot was down below in the bottom section of the garage and I have a big truck, so I??ve done some damage to my truck trying to maneuver it in and out of my spot between the pillars, but if you??ve got a car, you??re good to go ?? and not all the spots are as awkward as mine! (Ask to see the spot assigned to the unit you??re looking at ?? they??re pre-assigned so you should know the number ahead of time!) The manager, Stacy, is very nice and helpful. The distance between campus and downtown is ideal! I could walk to my classes at UT and take $4.00 cab rides downtown on the weekends! I??ve had a great experience at Greenwood Towers. (University Realty kind of sucks in the maintenance department, so try to avoid renting with them if you can. They aren??t terrible, they??re just not awesome. I??ve had a better experience just dealing with my owners directly.)
