During my time at Grove Place apartments I have encoutered noisy neighbors from the start and regardless of how many times I have called and complained to the office about it nothing happens, I am always told there is nothing they can do about it. The staff is extremely rude to the tenants, maintenence does not keep up with the apartments like they should and I am constantly being woke up by slamming doors, people hot rodding through the parking lot, people honking their horn in the early morning hours or the trash truck with its 4:00 a.m. wake up call of slamming the trash bins into the truck right next to my apartment. When My wife and I first moved in we didn't have any electricity in my kids room for almost 2 wks and was told by the management that it wasn't a priority and that if I wanted it fixed I could pay out of my pocket to have a repair man come up and do it, the dishwasher was not bolted into the cabinet frame so when you opened the door it would fall forward and slam into the floor, the toilets leaked, A/C didn't work, the curtain in my kids room was barely hanging up and has fell on my kids several times, greasy hand prints on the wall in the hall way from maintenence, black tar on the living room carpet and the kitchen light was on the fritz. It seems they was in a hurry to get a new tenant moved in rather than fixing the place up the way it was suppose to be. We had requested several times to view the apartment before our move-in date and they refused to let us see it until the day we came to sign the contract. It has now been roughly 7 months since we moved here and still the office staff refuses to take care of the noise issue below us. The neighbors enjoy turning their radio up so loud that it shakes our apartment and wakes our kids up from their naps. On a few rare occassions I had to pick my pictures up off the floor and put them back on the wall just from the neighbors turning their radio up that loud.
