I just got my deposit back and I'm now willing to comment. This property is still managed by Marquis and they have a really bad raport with residents (and at other complexes). The 5/8 comment was likely done by the manager cuz it aint better! There has not been any improvements to the landscaping and the company they use doesn't know much about proper plant maintenance. A lot of the pavers have shifted and create trippings hazards. I know of two people that have tripped. Fortunately, they weren't seriously injured, but it is a lawsuit waitng to happen. The "advertised" weekly breakfast has only happened twice since they got rid of the previous manager. It was done two weeks apart and is not very reliable. It starts at 8:30 and most people are at work by 8. But it looks good on advertisements! Maintenace was getting better when I left, but there is a lot of rotten wood and fence repair to be done. When/if they fix it, it will be a major inconvenience. Roofs regularly leak so watch out for mold! Trash was originally advertised to be valet 3X a week. They changed it to 2X a week. Otherwise you're expected to take it to the dumpster yourself. MORE FALSE ADVERTISING! Parking has gotten better, even when the party animals are active only because there are so many vacancies! Don't be misled! Porch lights are wired where you can't turn them off. They are relying on the residents to pay for nightly security lighting. No big deal except the sensors are mostly defective and many porch lights stay on ALL DAY LONG. A fire displaced a couple and now the manager/Marquis is wanting to charge them more money to move back in "their" apartment. Such a resident friendly gesture huh' You would think they caused the fire. AVOID THIS COMPLEX and MARQUIS!
