i moved here and it was the most horrible experience of my life.
my apartment was broken in on almost a daily basis.
they carved the door lock out so they could get easy access in.
i complained to management and they didnt do anything.
my underwear was hung from the ceiling fans and the police that came to take the prints advised me that there was a lot of gang activity in this area and that was how they let someone know if they were going to rape them in a gang initiation.
i couldnt sleep at night when i was staying here.
this place is the definition of ghetto.
to every female out there: especially if you're single, you may be tempted by the cheap rent but, trust me, its NOT worth it.

I have lived here for 5yrs and never ever have I seen or heard any gang activity. I have never known anyone whos apartment has been broken into. I am confused about this review. I am a single mom and have never felt that my child or myself has ever been in danger.

Hello, I am the manager at Hidden Timber Apartments. I was quite upset to read this review. I have been here for six years and have never heard of any of these things going on at the property. I personally live on the property and feel quite safe. Please visit the property and judge for yourself. You will note there is no grafitti, gang or otherwise. Also, talk to residents and ask them how they like living here. Im confident you will conclude that Hidden Timber is a safe and pleasant community with much to offer.

U SOUND LIKE A CRAZY PERSON...u must of had a crazy --- boyfriend that wanted to teach you a leason about lying on people lol. This is the second time ive lived in these apartments so a total of 3years im a single parent mother. its strange that u would say those things about these apartments i never realy see people out side as i come and go .Its pretty peaceful everyone stays to there self.This is a wounderful community to raise your kids!

No, I didn't have a boyfriend at the time. Manager, you can play dumb, but the police officer came in and talked to you. She was the one who told me about the underwear on the ceiling fan thing. I don't know any of you people, I have no need to lie, I just wanted to put a warning out there so that hopefully it will be prevented in the future. If there is a problem with the legitimacy of my claims, you are more than welcome to contact the police department and ask questions and I can obtain a copy of the police report I filed.

I'm a single female and I lived there for 5 months after subletting an apartment for someone and I never, ever experienced any problems. The manager was amazing and the apartment itself was very nice. I would walk around the area, go to the park, walk to the store and converse with people who were outside grilling by the pool (which was right in front of my apartment) and with my next door neighbors. I have never had any sort of problems at this complex and I must say that I miss it a lot.

I have lived at this apartment complex for the past 3.5 years and have lived here before about 10 years ago. In both times, I never ever heard of this happening. This is a small enough complex and Mary is a sweet lady who is honest and would notify the residents if ANYTHING had happened to where we would need to be concerned. Because, seriously? Your underwear was hanging from the ceiling fan? I'd like to see you post that police report online somewhere and upload the link here for all of us to see it, if it's that credible.
There have been times of loud neighbors or loud guests of neighbors. But otherwise, this is a very quiet complex. The only gang activity I can see happening is when the kids gang up out front on the grass or out in the back to play basketball.
If Hidden Timber is the definition of ghetto, then I think you need a new dictionary. Good luck to you elsewhere in Austin.
