I've only lived here not even a year but the rent hike when I renewed my lease was unbelievable. I couldn't understand why I was paying $30 dollars more to live in the same apartment I had been living in. Terrible.

I've had a very different experience here. When I renewed my lease at the end of December, my rent actually went down. I had been expecting it to go up, since I'm in a very nice 2/1 that was $750 a month at the time I moved here. It's now $730, and it's a great value. This is a nice apartment complex, albeit somewhat basic. The office staff are better here than at any other place I've lived, my neighbors are mostly quiet, and the grounds generally look pretty nice. I don't need the 2/1 anymore, since my roommate moved out, but if I'm still in Austin when my lease comes up for renewal, I will definitely try to get a 1/1 here.
