Not Safe, Management only wants your money

I have lived here by myself for the past 9 months, but have never quite felt safe. I've decided not to renew my lease for several reasons: they increased my rent by $26, the staff has never been friendly, and everything can be heard from the apartment above. The main reason, though, is that my apartment was broken into this past weekend by a simple picking of my (supposedly safe) lock. When I had the lock changed (because the criminal broke it), High Oaks informed me that I would be in responsible for the new lock charge. This is absurd since the locks they have cheaply placed on every door do not keep intruders out! These people have been only money-hungry and rude from the beginning on my lease. NOT WORTH THE WORRY or THE MONEY!
