High Oaks Apartments One & Two

Roach Motel From: ihateithere11 Date posted: 10/15/2007 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006   I lived here for about 8 months. Through the first 5 months my biggest complaint was the "valet" garbage pickup where you put your garbage on the curb twice a week for pickup b/c the property does not have dumpsters. I walked around like a dumb ass one night my first week looking for a dumpster. This also sucks if you have some smelly garbage you want to get rid of and you have to wait until the next pickup to get it out of your apartment. Anyway, the big problem is my apartment got overrun with pests. At first it was the occasional cockroach but eventually my apartment was infested with BED BUGS. Yes, those things exist and don't say it's my own fault b/c I'm messy b/c I kept my place clean. I could see these tiny holes where my bedroom wall met the ceiling. This is where they came in. When I moved out my downstairs neighbor was complaining about them as well. I had to throw away my bed and couch. I complained to management and they sprayed but getting rid of bed bugs is a long process and obviously they don't give a ---- enough to take care of the problem if it is not cost feasible to the corporation that actually runs the complex. So if you live in the unit that is to the right of the pool GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE NOW!!! This place turned my life into a living hell for a couple months. Luckily I was at the end of my lease.
