We have found this apartment to be really great. The floorplan is nice (we have a one bedroom with den) and I was surprised by how much storage space there is in this apartment. There are lots of built in shelves in the laundry room and there is plenty of storage in the closets. The floorplan is very open and the kitchen is unheard of for an apartment. It is large, has plenty of counter space, and an island with storage underneath. All of the appliances are nice and look new. The bathroom is large and has a linen closet in the bathroom. The garden tub is larger than many apartment tubs. The bedroom and living rooms are decent sizes. It almost feels more like a house than an apartment.

The grounds are decently lit at night and feel safe. The landscaping is pleasant and is kept up well. Additional speed bumps have recently been added. They can be annoying but do help cut down on people driving too fast through the parking lots. Parking is generally fine.

If our neighbors are playing loud music we can hear them, but otherwise we have never heard any noise. This is a quiet complex. There are a few people who gun their car engines in the parking lot, which can get annoying. Any time we have spoken with the management about this problem or anything else, we have had friendly service and quick replies to our questions or maintenance requests. When we felt like our carpeting was dirty and they offered to re-clean it for us free of charge. There is also a number to call for after-hours management concerns such as a noisy party or maintenance. The one time we called, we received a prompt response.

There is a business center that offers free fax, computer, and copy services to residents. They have a small movie library that rotates on a monthly basis. There are generally both DVDs and video tapes available and a fairly new selection of movies that are free for a 2-3 day rental.

The pools are nice but often have leaves floating in them. The fitness center is adequate. There are free weights, weight machines, and stairmasters, treadmills, bikes, and an elliptical. It is open 24 hours a day to residents.

The location is convenient. There are several grocery stores nearby and Walmart & Target are within 5-10 minutes. Central Market is not too far and there are several stores in the Sunset Valley shopping area (Barnes & Noble, Home Depot, Old Navy, Michaels Crafts, Circuit City). Traffic can be busy in the area and it can take a while to get onto main roads (Mopac or 290/71) during rush hours.

Overall we are very pleased with our apartment. It has a great layout, it is quiet, and safe.
