They have mastered the art of "dropping the ball"
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 7/22/2003
Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
Example:
A Serviceman comes by to fix something that is broken. When I come back several days later, I find urine in my toilet, unflushed, with flies hovering around it.
Example:
A certified check is mailed to the leasing office for rent and gets lost in the mail. I am notified of the check's absense on the evening before an eviction procedure begins. My bank calls the leasing office the next day to vouch for me and offer a replacement check, but the leasing representatives tell the bank, "I don't care."
There is a high rate of vandalism and break-ins at the apartment complex, but the staff still does not fix the security gates or provide any extra surveilance to the apartment complex.
Upon move-out, my security deposit letter notified me that I owed $1300 to them. After days of worrying and calling, I finally verified that these charges were false, and nobody bothered to proofread the security deposit letters as they are sent out. They also sent that letter to my neighbor's house, and listed my old apartment number on the address of my forwarding address.
The community facilities are nice. There are 2 or 3 gas BBQs at each pool. The pools are all right.
Someone ran a car into a garage door while I was there and it took them 4 months to repair the damages. Meanwhile, the apartment looks very trashy.
The leasing staff are generally not very helpful. All they're good at is signing people uup for the apartment. They have very little skill at keeping the community happy.
The floors are very thin, so people under the 3rd floor hear all of the activity above.
They recently added some large speed bumps that caused some of my friends' cars to bottom out no matter what speed they were driving at.
They use a sub-metered water service called "Viterra". This service really rips you off. If you use no amount of water, they will still charge you a minimum $5 of water service, $5 of wastewater service, and $4 in taxes.
For the price I've paid to live therte, they have definitely fallen short of my expectations.
