horrible management, no parking, and more

From my first view of Highlands Hill Country I thought this complex was very attractive to a young adult who wished to move from the east side apartments. Boy was I wrong. Riverside here I come. Unless you plan to dish out some major cash for a covered parking spot - if they even have one near your building - parking is impossible. Don't try to park in the fire zone while you are moving in (even with your flashers on or doors open) because the towing company hired by management will just basically steal your car. There were too many car break-in around me to keep count. Despite having a great yard for dogs the people who you live around you are either loud or excessively complaining, making the dog a serious liability if not on the first floor. The walls are paper thin, and if you weigh more than 100lbs it will sound like a large gorilla is racing up the stairs everytime. Having your friends tell you your air conditioning sounds like a heavy duty generator is not a plus. If you like nature you will love the nightmarish ant and bug problem which plagues almost everyone here, and does management care - no, they do not. Their annual pest and bug spraying never took place - despite the multiple flyers I and my neighbors received. If you like to drive fast do not do it as the APD loves to stake out the area directly around the complex, handing out tickets like candy. PS - Request a copy of your lease as the written notice is not the standard 30 days but a whopping 60! Be carefule before you sign your name with Trammell Crowe.
