Unhelpful management

I've lived in this complex for almost 4 years now and overall I think it's average. It's pretty safe and relatively quiet since it's out of the way and not directly next to any major roads. However, neighbors can be very loud sometimes, though I think this is more due to the fact that the walls are extremely thin.
The grounds are pretty for the most part, but as another reviewer said, they are better kept in the front of the complex where new potential tenants will see them, rather than in other parts of the complex.
I'm a student at UT and the commute isn't too bad - around 15-20 minutes. There aren't a lot of other students in the complex, which is what I was looking for when I moved here, so that keeps noise down as well.
My apartment seemed pretty new/well kept when I moved in so I haven't had a lot of maintenance problems at all. When I did have problems (needing air filters changed, door knob fixed, etc)they were quick to address it, although it was a few years ago when the complex was under different management, so I don't have any idea how the service would be now.
The one main problem I have with this complex is the staff. Since I've lived here the management has changed, and although everyone seems very nice, they aren't particularly that helpful. Overall parking isn't an issue, but I am disabled and permanently in a wheelchair so I require a handicap parking spot that is wide enough to get my chair in and out of my car. I pay for my spot since it is under a carport, but I have noticed that other cars are constantly parking in the handicap spots around the complex and they don't have handicap tags. It doesn't affect me directly since I lease my spot, but as a disabled person it does frustrate me and it has led to some problems when I have had anyone come to my place who is disabled and needs a parking spot as well. The main spot I see people parking in is directly across from my patio, so I am very aware of the on going problem and the cars parking in the spot. While this is obviously not the management's fault, when I asked them to address the problem nothing happened. They were extremely nice about it and reassured me that they would take care of it and make sure tenants knew not to park there, and if they continued to that they would be towed. All I was to do was to let them know when I saw someone parked in the spot that didn't have handicap tags and that the staff would deal with it. I have went into the office or called them several times and nothing ever happened. They tell me that they are calling the people to tell them to move and not to park there, but the cars never move and the same cars are still parking in the spot all the time. Obviously the management team is just not calling them or the towing company, or if they are calling then whatever they are telling the drivers is not good enough.
This may seem like a silly complaint, especially to someone considering moving here who isn't disabled and won't be affectd by it, but it definitely shows how much the staff cares about the tenants. I cannot tell you how frustrating it is to have to drive around a parking lot and not be able to get out of your car because you can't find a parking spot that will allow you to get out of it and set up your wheelchair. The inconsiderate people parking in those spots should know better, but even more so the staff should care enough about their tenants, especially knowing I (and I'm sure other disabled people)live here, to do something about it. Honestly, I have an easier time finding a spot at UT, with 50,000 students and 1000s of staff, than I do here. Its nice that they SEEM concerned and considerate to me when I complain, but if they really do care then something would get done about it. It seems like they care more about making sure trash is left out between certain times of the day(as they have put signs all over the complex & sent out several memos about it), rather than making sure people aren't parking illegally on the property. I asked them to simply send out a memo to everyone asking them to make sure not to park in handicap spots, unless they are in fact handicap, but apparently that would be too troublesome to them. I know that there can't possibly be that many people here who are in wheelchairs so if they read this review they will know exactly who I am, but maybe reading it will make them finally do something about the problem (but probably not).
Other than that the staff is ok overall. When they first took over they did things very differently than the past management (who I actually really liked), so it seemed to take a lot of the residents some time to get use to them. I know a lot of other tenants who aren't particularly fond of the management, but other than the parking issue I haven't had any problems with them myself. However, after seeing their action concerning handicap spots I wouldn't put a lot of faith in them to handle any other situations either. I would have 100% recommended other people to move here 3-4 years ago, but now I would probably tell them to keep looking for something better. odusyNYCcZ7yL3Bj5JtG

Sorry, I was one of the people that parked in a handicap spot from time to time at Hudson Miramont. I did this b/c there was never any parking near my apartment as all the spots were covered that you have to pay to use. There were, seriously, 3 parking spots withing 75 yards of my apt that weren't covered and I would sometimes have to park on by the putting green to walk to my apt in building 6. Parking was my main complaint b/c they seemed to just want to make more $ off people by making every spot covered.

That's ok. I think its perfectly understandable for someone to park there sometimes if there is absolutely no where else to park thats a reasonable distance from their apartment. I'm annoyed with one specific vehicle that parks there almost every single day, even when there are multiple spots literally right next to it that are open! I know that parking in general is tight, and if someone gets home later in the day when all the spots are full that's one thing, but to blatantly park there in the middle of the afternoon when there are no less than 4-5 other open parking spots within feet of a handicap spot is ridiculous. I'm pretty sure you aren't the person I'm talking about, as I have seen them and they do not live in building 6, but I appreciate your response anyway :)

this was probably the most fair post i've seen someone write. you were nice and shared problems too. i like to write on these things to call people out for being whiners. you actually did a good one. congrats. sounds like to me, you have a crappy and inconsiderate neighbor with no disregard to the handicap. pretty crappy! as someone that has worked in the industry i can assure you that the tow company is probably more at fault. nobody likes tow truck drivers in the first place, so why would they be of any help. they're only around to make our lives miserable downtown where they get paid more to tow those cars than drive out to the boonies and tow someone.
