I think one person wrote at least 3 of the bad reviews here, so I don't fully trust the negative reviews listed. I've lived in several apartments and there was always something that bothered me at each one. If you don't like apt living, quit complaining, start saving, and buy a house!!

I've lived at Hunt Club for over 7 years and have had no major problems. I've NEVER had my car or my apt broken into. The residents are mostly blue collar working stiffs and younger working people who keep to themselves. Few students here, which is a good thing. Yes, there are too many kids and dogs, but it's pretty quiet at night and the Wells Branch area is pretty safe. The grounds are well kept too.

The apartments themselves are pretty average, but they are built solidly. The sound insulation seems good to me since I've rarely heard any of my neighbors except through the front door. The in-apt W/D is great; beats using a public laundry any day. The other appliances are pretty average but they work.

As for gripes, they are mostly minor. The bathroom could a little bigger, and I wish there was more kitchen cabinet space. Also for some reason my electricity bill is always high.

My maintenance requests are always completed timely and mostly correct. The apt office staff is like all other apt staff; a little too young and too much turnover, but they haven't given me any problems so far. I don't use the pool or other facilities, so I can't help you there.

Are there better apartments out there' Yes. Is this one of the worst complexes in Austin' Not at all. Bottom line is that this is a no frills apt in a nice suburban neighborhood that has a W/D in every unit for a decent price. If you're looking for all that you might want to look at this place.

2008 Update: New kitchen appliances, water heater and air conditioner plus cosmetic changes to outside! Place looks much nicer than before. My electricity bill is much improved after the new appliances.
