Rent is good, location is great, apartment decent. Management is horrible, unwilling to help, feels like they're just looking for ways to screw you out of your money. We're perfect tenants, have been living here for 8 months, always pay our rent early, no parties, etc. At the end of October my husband went into the hospital and I was so caught up with that, I forgot to pay the rent for a few days (literally, from Thursday to Monday). They charged me $70, even after I explained the situation multiple times and brought in proof from the hospital. Now, at the end of our lease, they want to charge us an additional $100 a month to renew for a few months. We've had things stolen off our patio, the treadmill is constantly broken and it seems like we're perpetually calling the maintenance guy for the same things. I can't wait to move.

No offense but late fees apply to every situation. If they waived the late fees for you, they'd have to waive them for everyone. It's Equal Opportunity Housing and you should be glad that they follow it.

Not entirely true. Apartments managers who are ethical and follow industry guidelines are allowed to make exceptions on a case by case basis. Hospitalization is certainly one of them. (Ever notice the positive comments are always offered by "anonymous"? Those are the managers posting from their home computers. Seriously.)

First of all... aintitcook has too much time on your hands and a horrible attitude, you must live a very sad little unfulfilled life! And I will admit I do work in this business and have worked for Hunters Chase and sorry aintitcook, I know you think you know everything, but it's true, it is the law that everyone gets treated the same and there is no exception to the Fair Housing Law!
