Money is the only thing that matters, your rent. The new owner is a slumlord in every sense. The filters in the a/c units don't get changed. I have lived in four other complexes in Hyde Park and filters would be replaced every month, six weeks tops. It costs money for new filters. Of course, it takes more electricity to push air through a dirty filter. If your appliance is not completely non-operational, it will not be replaced. If something is replaced, don't be surprised if it is from a salvage yard. You are truly blessed to get anything new or refurbished. Sinks and tubs get that spray on enamel which starts to peels off with the first use. It looks acceptable to rent. Bath tubs corrode the worst, and if your tub is original, many are, the enamel is worn down to the cast iron. It looks like the tub is dirty but it's the cast iron coming through. After forty-plus years it gets thin and you could put your foot right through it. That should do it. Look elsewhere, there are still good owners, managers, and apartments out there.

I dont know what you're talking about. I live there now & have for the last 2 years. And I have many friends here. We have no problems getting things repaired or replaced. Mike and Janette are great.
