I have been living in apartments for almost more than 12 years now. Archstone Monterey Ranch is THE WORST apartments I have ever lived in.
There are a lot of dogs, and people don't even care to pick after their dogs. The management does NOTHING about it inspite of multiple complaints; so a lot of crap lying around with its stink.
The maintenance responds within the specified time but never fix the problem completely. Expect multiple visits to fix one problem; never gets fixed completely. The washers & dryers in the apartment complex is a joke. The management doesn't even care if people are using them and if they work.
There is not enough parking available; if you come home a little late expect a walk from your car to your apartment.
The pool is always filled with people, dogs around, loud and noisy.
When we first moved in, our apartment had pet smell, they didn't even bother to clean. We were moving from out of state so we didn't have a chance to check the apartment before moving in. They changed the carpet in out apartment after the movers dropped off our stuff in out apartment. The maintenance offered no help in moving the stuff around.
The A/C is a joke. It is supposedly central A/C, the bedroom never gets the A/C and the maintenance could not fix it after multiple visits.
These are only a few things why I wouldn't ever move into these apartments.

I Don't Understand Why You People Complain Go Out And Get A Window Unit AC At Walmart They Aren't Terribly Expensive And They Work Great

Who is the dumbass that thinks a tenant should spend more money on a seperate a/c unit when the tenant is alreay paying to have an apartment with central air. You dumb ass why don't you buy all the tenants a/c because management can not maintain what they have sold to their tenants. I am a tenant here at IMT Monterey Ranch and this property suchs, my child has come in with dog crap on him from palying football in the court yards because all these dog lovers can't have the decency to pick up the dog sh** and management does not do anything about this. We rented this apartment on the ground floor so my son could have a yard to play in. Because there is dog crap all over the kids (not mine) play in the parking lot. Management agin has done noting. So if a tenants car gets damaged or a child gets hit.... hmmmm
