When I first moved to Austin, I was living in a hotel room.. The first apartment complex I visited was IRA.. The girl that helped me was very friendly and very helpful.. I finally moved in to a nice big clean apartment.. But on the second day, I noticed one of the showers was missing a shower head, one of the bedrooms was missing a doorknob, and the dishwasher didn't work at all.. By the fifth time I asked them to fix the above mentioned items, someone came out to fix the doorknob and shower head, but he knew nothing about the dishwasher.. About two weeks later, they finally replaced it.. When I went to pay rent the next month, nobody that worked there when I first moved in was still there.. The people that I've dealt with since then have been fairly rude and unsympathetic.. I work in Customer Service, and I wish I could tell them a thing or two about how to treat residents.. On my row, there are 35 apartments, only 6 of which are intended for one person to live in.. But, there are only 28 parking spots, one which is handicapped (I've never seen a car in that spot) 4 of which are reserved, and there are absolutely NO visitor spots.. There is 1 single visitor spot on the adjacent row, that I get to share with the other 30-40 apartments on the other side, and most of the time a resident is parked there anyway.. As for my neighbors, they drive through the apartment complex with stereos blaring, and revving their engines very loudly at all times of the day and night.. The children don't move out of your way when you pull your car into the parking lot.. They act as if you don't deserve to pass them, and they should be allowed to ride their bikes and walk right in the middle of the path so you can't get around them.. If I open my door any time after 9PM, I can see my next door neighbors smoking pot ON THEIR PORCH for everyone to see, and the smell takes no time at all to flow into my apartment.. The ants are definitely a problem.. Nothing seems to get rid of them.. If you put bait out, they simply move to another section of your home.. Overall, I enjoy my apartment.. If I could move it away from the complex (somewhere I wouldn't have to deal with the employees, kids, disrespectful car owners, and lack of free parking spots) it would be the perfect place to live..

The office staff is really rude!! The girl who rented the apartment to me was friendly and took the time to help me out with whatever I needed. I haven't seen her since cause aparently you have to be a b*tch to work there! The girl with the curly hair is so rude and makes racist comments as if I'm too stupid to get it! She tans so much, she looks hispanic herself. She made me sit and wait 30 minutes before she would help me while she sat and paid her cell phone bill on line. Don't live here- you can't get any help and if some one bothers to take time out of their work day to actually do their job and help you, they treat you like crap.
