I lived there from '03-'04. The employee turnover wasn't as bad as it apparently is today but I suppose IRA has also gotten worse and judging by these comments it has.

My biggest problems were with the parking lot and with the other tenants. I loved the apartment though. It was enormous and well priced ($514 then, $544 after W/D and pet deposit). The parking lot, though, left a great deal to be desired. Aside from its circuitous nature there was NEVER anywhere to park. Further, there was nothing to prevent non-tenants from parking there. Annoying to say the least.

The worst part though was the idiotic 19 year old that lived next door in the attached efficiency. He and his friends would be up till all hours of the night drinking and smoking pot and making noise. He had a friend that could belch on cue and some nights he would never receive a cue but belch endlessly. I complained multiple times to the management but they never did anything to deter this persons behavior. One night (5AM) I leaned out my door and suggested that perhaps it was time to wrap up the party. The guy told me to "F" myself. I slapped him around in front of his friends and never had any other problems with him after that. He moved out 3 months later.

Otherwise, if you do want to live there, inspect the apartment they show you. Make sure the unit they show you is the unit you will move into. Always ask questions. Read your lease (suggested by someone else here). If you don't understand something, have them explain it. And don't be afraid to say "no".

I am sure if you slapped the person next door to you I would have heard about that! may try calling the police next time, wilco has a noise policy!
