I was charged for damages after moving out and never sent a bill, even though I had left a forwarding address and work address and phone info. These damages were listed on my initial apartment inventory, and predated me (some I assume by several tennants). I was unaware of this until I was contacted by a collection agency for past due account. I was able to get the bill dismissed after contacting management.

Not surprising. They seem to make up for the low rents by nailing the crap out of you on the way out.
