I have lived here for two years, and never been late on rent. However, despite my good standing the first time i think i "might" be late, they threaten too charge me an extra 200 plus take away my concession for the entire time I have lived here, thus raiseing my rent an extra 150 dollars a month for the remainder of my lease.
The maintenance here is the worst i have ever seen. . . I have a hole in my ceiling that leaks water into my living room every time my upstairs room mate goes too take a bath, and the washer has been broken for over a month. I complain about it weekly and all they say is, "well did you write out a work order'" The answer is yes i have filled out 3 of them. Not too mention what kind of incompetent management does it take too not be capable of filling it out themselves'!'!' Not worth the 760 a month I pay. . . Apparently they have forgotten that their tenants are costumers.

P.S. That lovely gym they boast about is worthless aswell. Half the machines are broken and quite frankly in such a way that makes them even dangerous too use.

You are comepletely right. First they can't charge you your concession for the whole time unles they re-write your lease agreement. they will usually give you one get out of jail free card with concessions as well. one late they won't charge but from then on out they would. Leak are considered and Emergency there (or so I was told from one of the office members). It helps prevent mold and if they do not fix it then it is a breech in your contract between them. Have them print out all the paperwork you have ever signed. In the first 6 pages it states about how repairs need to be in a timely manner. the next set of pages will have the mold prevention on it. The are a part of the Austin Apartment Assoc. so look them up as well. Also check out HUD Fair Housing Laws. You can file a complaint with them as well. Just an FYI.
