First of all, they do not do background checks even though they say they do. There have been instances where a residence who was drugged up out of his mind on crack cocaine busted in my friend/neighbor's door because he was so doped up. The management says that they don't allow visitors to park in non-visitor parking places and that is a complete lie, there are several very shady people including very gothic, scary looking people living there, and there are a few people with pit bulls who let their dogs roam around the property freely...not to mention the insane ant problem that they never seem to do anything about. It is such a shame because we absolutely loved the layout of our apartment but this management could give a rats ass. They have very incompetent people working there and this is why the rates are so low on these apartments. I would suggest living in a much better apartment complex and avoiding the cost savings! Take advice from someone who is ready to move out after only a couple of months living there. I am scared to even go home at night because I am worried that someone living there will either attack me or harm me in some way. The price is not worth the possibility of endangering yourself or your family living there.

I agree. Ive lived here for 5 years. I still live here for another 6 months because i wanted to stay close to work. It USED to be cheap to live here. I will not let my wife, or any female friends walk to their cars alone at night. I guess because i am a man i don't fear the punks that wander around at night. This place used to be a lot worse, there were crack houses in the back buildings. Look up how many sex offenders are registered here. Its sickening. I know horror stories that would stray anyone from living here. (All which management denies and lie about).. Everything you read on here is true. I watched a kid get stabbed in the basketball court a few years ago. A friend of mine almost got carjacked a few months ago. There are RATS in some apartments, all sorts of bug infestations and getting anything fixed takes weeks. What you think you save on rent, you pay for in electric,water, and sense of comfort. Every few years they slab on some new paint over the rust and cracks and raise rent to make up for it. Yes they have markers on buildings. But not stairs. One day a rusty cracked stairwell will collapse, or a flimsy railguard will give way. That person will own IRA. Anyone who says they loved their experience here is either management, or they never lived here. And when you read this ------, go f yourself. You are a joke.

Thank you...someone who has lived here for 5 years and can finally stand up and say exactly what this place is like. I am glad that you came forward on this. I would highly recommend people stay away from this place. Don't let some apartment guide or apartment seeker encourage you to sign a lease here just because they want to get paid on their referral.

Unbelievable, someone out there is really a "Hater" do you really have nothing else to do?? I've lived at IRA for over 5 yrs. Never had any real problems .. any I had were taken care of quickly. The residents however are about the laziest I've ever seen. The apts. have two trash dumpsters near me, if the first one is full do you think they'd walk the extra five feet to the next one which is a compactor and usually empty?? NO.. they dump it on the ground next to the full one..if they live in their apts like that NO WONDER they have problems with bugs etc.... If I'd read this site before signing my lease I might have thought twice about it... thankfully I didn't.... doesn't make sence to make an opinion based on the opinion of someone who obviously has anger issues.

I have read many comments about IRA, what I find interesting is that one writer has been there 5 years and still there, if it is that bad why haven't you moved out? Or are they holding you hostage? From what I have witnessed on the property I haven't seen any of the things that are listed. I have visited the property on several occassions at different times of the day and night just to see if what has been written is true... Oh did I mention, I called the local police dept. to find out just had bad the area was and guess what? The complaints are minimal most of which come from domestic disputes, as far as the stabbing I couldn't find any information about that nor could the police officer. I suspect the management team has done something to upset the writers and they just can't seem to get past it. After living at one place for 5 years I would imagine that there would be some things that may fall through the cracks. But on the other had "what you put out is what you get back" so if a negative attitude is what you give the management team, it's no wonder you get the results that you do. Good luck and I hope you find a place that is more suitable.
