Let's try again please, NEXT APARTMENT! From: reallyunhappyrenter909 Date posted: 7/2/2008 Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008 1 response My family and I have been living here for almost two years now, it was great for about 5 hours(that's when the roaches started coming out)and it only got worse from there.First of all the paint job Hooorrrribble instead of shampooed the carpet was spray painted, yes that's right spray paint! I know because it was on my wall.Two weeks in the dishwasher fell apart and it took them two to three weeks to come look at it then they determined it couldn't be fixed(like we didn't know that it started overflowing)so they ordered a new one (none on hand)and we had to wait forever and a day to get it.Then the upstairs bedroom roof started leaking (during the rainy season) it got so bad the roof was about to cave before they finally came!Then our next door neighbor tried to chuck himself off his third story balcony (some kind mental break down)I found out because the ambulance came to haul him off to a mental institution,the next crazy set of neighbors (in the same apartment mind you) were constantly fighting and the walls are thin so we could everything.Then the ants started coming those are some bold little suckers and they won't leave for anything. The parking- is ATROCIOUS! I can't find a parking space to save my life.I have to hike a flipping MILE to my own front door. Then there was the smelly mut that ATTACKED MY PUPPY! He's never been the same around other dogs. He was scared to go outside for a week.Then the washing machine started leaking into the downstairs apt. it got to the point where there was a ft. of water down there before they came to fix it (and there was someone living down there at the time!)We decided to replace the light bulbs in our chandelier with eco-friendly ones (the light bill is insane) and it imploded,two of them they BLEW UP! Still waiting on the repairs for the kitchen drawer and cabinet (they fell apart)the drawer is in five pieces.Our maintenance request list is HUGE. I have met more exotic bugs I didn't even know existed here than when I went camping! One night there was like this army of two different types of bugs on the wall then while I was laying in my bed reading I looked up and they were EVERYWHERE!!!! They were falling from the flipping roof and on every wall I was surrounded it was like a scene out of a FREAKING HORROR MOVIE! They were falling on my HEAD in every crack and crevice you could imagine and then some and we didn't even bother to call maintenance I had to go get some Raid IN MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT and take care of it! A week ago just a week the latest fiasco happened we had been requesting the air conditioner be fixed as it was shaking something horrible.Well they didn't come and guess what as we were going on about our business there was this huge BOOM! and the thing started shaking the WHOLE APARTMENT! Then the gosh forsaken thing started smoking and set off the fire alarm THE FIRE ALARM! Of course we panicked and called the fire department we were told to evacuate immediately and I wasn't even dressed and my hair looked like crap. As it turned out the motor had fallen out of the wall and a open wire was sparking on the dust in it. The nice FIREMEN then informed us that the air conditioner should have been checked every month of course according to them the maintenance here is supposed to do that. As they did not do that if we had have turned on the heater it would have LIT THE WHOLE BUILDING UP!!!! So the moral of this wonderful story is OMG!! DO NOT MOVE HERE EVER if you value your life and that of you're family. I know I will be jumping ship as soon as possible.(while jumping for joy!)

OUCH! I would have used that as reason to break your lease...the whole AC thing....
