To "the really unhappy camper": I wasn't aware that International Residence had a "West Campus" area. Anyways..my International Residence apt. is in the Copper Creek complex/address. But I agree with you... msybe different location, but.. Any ways, having lived at the Copper Creek address of International Residence for almost 9 yrs., I can tell you on my part that I've experienced everything you wrote in your review. For example, the air conditoning problem- exceptfor the fire. Instead, of a fire, the air conditioning started leaking and the carpet got saturated with water, that resulted in mold, which became prevalent in that area; And yes, had the roach problem too!!!. All of a sudden after 8 yrs.!

And, DEFINITELY parking problems !!!!!!!!!!!!!! The managment that was here a few years prior, sent around a memo stating it was "sorry no resident sticker, no parking except for designated spots". Now it's like a free for all. If a resident doesn't pay $25 for a parking spot, it's a race for the parking slot. I don't mind paying $25.00, if I wish, for a COVERED parking spot - even ("choke") a cheap canopied parking spot. But when International Residence takes the stance that it's either 'pay $25.00 for a parking spot' OR we'll let the friends of the 21 -25 year olds in, not only your building but the buildings across from you, park in any space - I draw the line. What International is implying by that stance and their towing policy is that any resident not able to get here early enough to park in a slot, you have to park on the streets. If you work downtown Austin-you're definitely not going to get here in time - until the above-referenced 'friends' leave. To add insult to injury, as far as those weekend 'friends' are concerned, management doesn't care how loud apts. are, or how long the noise continues. The 'management' passed around a flyer about a year ago stating that they brought on a 'security company'to not only control the noise, but also for security. But, the numerous times I called security because I couldn't sleep due to the noise - starting at about 2:00 - 3:30 and ending around 5am. I would call security (after saying to myself, 'don't call, it's the weekend, don't call, it's the weekend-ad nauseum. Or, as would happen if it was a week night, I would wait to call until between 12-1 am. Sorry, but I have to get up at the VERY latest 6:30 am in order to make it downtown in time for work). Guess what time they would show up' Atleast 2 hrs. later- if they even showed up. By then, everyone had either passed out or gone to sleep-except for me, of course.

I have sooooo many more examples to give you, not only from my own experience and eyes, but from another resident that has been here 15 yrs.! But...up until about two years ago, due to prior management, she was under rent control (her rent was only in the high.$500.00. After 15 yrs. !!!!) I don't expect that exactly, but you would think that International Residence' owners would appreciate long term, reliable, residents (i'm being kind, but at least those who have lived here atleat 3 yrs.!) - especially given what they 'offer'.

If that 'ranting' isn't enough to deter you from moving to Internation Residence, please feel free to e-mail me-legaleze_2000@yahoo.com. As I said, feel free to e-mail me and if you've gotten this far in this reply, Thank
