At first the two bedroom apartment was no where near the show room and was in such horrible condition that it was practicly unlivable. But that was in part due to a new employee at the apartments, who also typed the lease wrong...twice. After we spoke with new people we were pleased with the negotiations and the assistant manager came from home after hours to speak with us. She put us into much a nicer apartment. It was one bedroom more than the original one but didn't charge us any more than the original and very large. The kitchen is not very large but I always have plenty of room. And there is a walk in pantry. Our neighbors are very friendly and even tried to help my boyfriend get a job. We have never heard them in our apartment and they haven't heard us.
We just moved from Dallas about two weeks ago and after that first day we have really enjoyed living here. And other than the new girl who should probably choose a different career path, all the staff has been very helpful, friendly and welcoming. And I have never had a problem with getting their attention or with the maintanence people. WE are waiting for a part to fix a leak, but we have only had to wait two days and one of those days was the 4th of July so the office was close.
I have had problems in the past about apartment safety. I am a small woman and I truly feel safe. Its not gated but there is a curtasy officer so close that I can toss a rock to his apartment. Not that I would, he just is close enough that I feel comfortable. There are two more on the property and they often time patrol the grounds. I won a free parking space when I signed the lease from a game they had going on, and I have not yet needed to use it.
Over all it has been a comfortable and easy transition from Dallas. The first day was a nightmare but after that it has been very pleasant.
