I have lived here for about 5 months and have had many many more bad experiences than good. First off, there is absolutely NO security here. I would expect to see a police officer or at least security drive through the parking lot at least once a month. We have "on-site securtity" but when I called about a situation in the parking lot, no one showed up. The pool and hot tub are never very clean. The management is useless and usually rude. The office is really understaffed and it is hard to get someone to answer the phone or talk to you when you go up to the office. The walls are thin as paper and we can hear everything our neighbors do, we can not even sleep at night due to the noise. The place is really going down really fast. Shady people are being allowed to move in and be loud, throw beer bottles and trash all over the parking lot. Management does not care at all about resident's concerns. I can't wait until my lease is up so this nightmare can be over. It's also way overpriced for the neighborhood. There are better deals if you really want to live in this neighborhood. There is only one big dumpster so there is always tons of trash all over the parking lot around the dumpster. Parking is also a problem on the weekends since we do not have parking tags. Most people resort to parking in the handicapped spots since no one ever checks. There are maybe 2 buildings that don't have parking problems and those are in the front by the gate where you have to listen to all the traffic and the gate opening and closing every few minutes. My advice is DO NOT RENT HERE if you want a pleasant experience. My standards are not too high, I just want to live in a safe, clean apartment complex and be able to sleep at night. I have lived in a few different apartment complexes over the past 10 years and this place may not be the worst, but it's definitely in the bottom two!

Obviously that response was from the management...all apartments suck in one way or another but never, ever rent near Stassney and I-35, or anywhere near I-35 for that matter because the area east of I-35 is ghetto and it will creep into a small area west of the highway.

Yeah, the first response must be from the management. It's easier to try to pretend there is not a problem than fix the problem

I am not management. I lived at Falcon Ridge in 2005, and trust me I had my fair share of problems. Parking did suck, as I acknowledged in my first response, as did the trash system. I was not defending this particular apartment complex, rather apartments in general. I took my awful experience from Falcon Ridge and learned from it. That way I was better able to select apartments and anything I didn't like as a result of my lack of research was my own fault. It is just common knowledge to learn from your mistakes. I don't know if the original poster is new to apartment living, but it isn't supposed to be glamorous. Noise is always present, but the amount is dependent on the age of the property, the location, and the overall construction (i.e., higher rent can sometimes mean better quality). Security guards are rare. Sometimes properties will have a cop that lives within the complex who volunteers to act as security, but by no means does that mean they will patrol the complex. I have never worked for any apartment management company, I just am a renter and was simply expressing how I believed the original poster's expectations of apartment living were slightly unreasonable. Take it as you will.

Seriously, who would defend this place. Certainly not any of my neighbors. My advice to potential renters....be very cautious about renting here. If possible, try to talk to any residents that you may see walking around, managment of any apt. complex (not just here) will never tell you the whole truth about the complex. Also, drive around the area at night to see what kind of vibe you get from it.
