I lived here for a year, back in 2006. It was owned by another company then so I can't tell you how it is now, but when I lived there it was a nice complex. It's convenient to all the stores in the area, but it's nestled along the greenbelt so it's quiet off the back end. I used to have an apartment overlooking the ridge so that was impressive for an apartment sitting right off the I-35/Ben White interchange.
The rent at the time was reasonable, but then again that was two years ago and different management. I did enjoy the walking trail around the complex, the pool was pleasant and I enjoyed the cookouts they provided on occasion, and the fitness center had a few good pieces of equipment, a few items were always broke but I worked around them.
Parking was the only big complaint I had. On occasion you'll be able to park in front of your building, but usually you'll be walking from a few buildings away to get to your unit. It isn't the best of times when moving in or out or bringing the groceries home when you have to walk that far.
I don't know if they still have the car wash and vacuum, but that rarely worked. I enjoyed it when it did work, other times I would drive down that hill to find out it wasn't operational and it took them a long time to get it fixed.
Not sure what else to say, maybe things have changed for the worse with new management, but it was a nice place to live in 2006.

I think a lot has changed since this poster lived at Falcon Ridge. Parking still sucks big time, mainly because there are no parking tags and no distinction between resident and guest parking. I think the new management is not as good as the old management. The turnover rate is really high in the office which is frustating when you try to get something fixed and they can't find the work order and the person you filed it with is no longer working there. The pool has gone downhill, not very clean. And the biggest con....JPI has raised the rent too much. It's not the worst place in Austin to live but people can find a better place or a place just as good for less money. Save your money for gas, ha ha.

Yeah, a lot has changed since 2006. This is not a good place to live anymore. If you are really lucky you will have super quiet neighbors but if not you will hear EVERYTHING that your neighbors do. Rent has gone up a lot under new management, it's too expensive now.
