Don't move here

I've never written one of these before. In fact, I rolled my eyes at the other postings here before I moved in, figuring that it all added up to a few people who had sour experiences with a decent apartment complex. NOT SO! They had a point.
I'm currently typing this from my bedroom while my upstairs neighbors walk around. This wouldn't normally be a problem, but due to the construction of this complex, a footstep sounds like someone stomping. Thin, hardly insulated ceilings. For the first month that I lived here, I thought my upstairs neighbor was purposely stomping on the floor above me. I figured it must be because he's big: like a 300 pound dude. Then I finally met my neighbor, she was thin and slight. Nevertheless, when she walked around the light fixtures would shake. Thin walls. I can hear the conversations of my next door neighbors while i have the Television on.
As for the management, in the past six months I have had to make four trips to the front office to correct billing errors. The office would leave off my rental concession (a $200 difference), or charge too much for water. If you do move in, I suggest you carefully read your rent bill because it tends to be too high.
The people living here. Some of them are nice, some not so nice. Two weeks after a few folks moved in, my roommate had his car broken into. Returning to my apartment to briefly pick up something, i left my car windows down while i ran inside. When I came back to my car, someone had clearly pulled at my power adapters as the ends lay in the passenger seat. Probably someone searching for an expensive electronic device that I am not stupid enough to leave in a car with the windows rolled down. If you like people smoking pot on the stairs, then you might like this place. The red sports car resting on concrete blocks with all four wheels missing was an interesting addition to the parking lot.
A few weeks ago, I woke up to water coming through the walls and onto the floors of my laundry room. I walked to the main office to inform them that apparently a water pipe had busted, or someone allowed the washer to overflow onto the floor. But apparently, they were already aware and had known about the problem for at least half an hour. I appreciate a property manager who at least calls me when there is a chance that my apartment may flood.
I'm not saying you can't live here, but stay sharp and have a good sense of humor.
I've resisted calling my neighbors or the property managers names or showing anything other than the facts. Make up your own mind, but let me leave you with this: don't move here.

I agree with this post. When I moved in there were background checks and qualifications. With the shady folk moving in lately, it looks like they don't do that anymore. Also, I've noticed a lot more people living in one apt. which makes parking horrendous! For example, in my building, there are 4 people living in a one bedroom apt.

Have you ever lived in an apartment that didn't have dog poop everywhere? I haven't. Maybe we should all move to a community that doesn't allow pets.
