BEWARE OF LA MIRAGE: I take my comments BACK (re: Untitled)

Well, the honeymoon at La Mirage has ended after one year and a $100 rent hike after 6 months... We tried staying here so we could move into a 2 bedroom and the staff was so rude and complicating, that we gave our 30 day notice the same day. There are currently 10 empty units just outside of our window, now we know why they are no longer being filled - because of how they treat their tenants.
I must again forewarn you, to get everything in writing and with a name of who showed your around or quoted you a price. A one bedroom (rates change weekly...) is quoted online (apartmentguide, rent.net, etc.) at $819, we're paying $820. They offer a corp. discount of $15-$25 (depending on who you talk to) but refused to rent to us at the "going" rate (which would technically be $794), only at the "renewal" rate of $820. HOWEVER: They are renting units out to "new renters" at $734/mo. this week.... Maybe next week it'll be even less' Or more' Or 2-for-1'
I would say to definitely look elsewhere, a property who employs a knowledgable staff who wants their tenants to be looked after. Don't be fooled by their free pens and can coolers to sip that tall cool one while they woo you with an application. Say no thanks and check out all the new properties renting for less or the established ones that rent for much less and have a good reputation.
Good luck!
