Run - donīt walk AWAY FROM LA MIRAGE!!!! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 9/24/2002 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2002   This is the absolutely the worst apartment management team Ive EVER had to deal with. My roommate and I read some bad reviews about them before moving in and thought "how bad could they really be'''".... well we found out!!! 1. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING - they tried to change (increase) the rent many times on us before we signed the lease. No 2 people will tell you the same deals. They lied directly to our faces many times and will NEVER call when they say they will... so I HIGHLY suggest you get everything that tell you in writing. 2. READ AND REREAD YOUR LEASE - including adding the amount of months that you are suppose to be renting, the amount they quoted you for your apt, and any extras like W/D. They screwed up so many times on ours the lease looked pathetic, so they had to retype it out. 3. GET A GARAGE - within the first 2-3 months both of our cars were hit in this poor excuse they call a parking lot. The spaces are too small and cramped and apparently people find it difficult to back out of them w/o hitting other cars. 4. BUY EAR PLUGS - Ive got a gang of guys in the apartment next to us. They play techno music mostly between the hours of 10pm - 8am. Ive called the cops countless times and filed a complaint with the complex (this is another time they promised to call to let me know what the results were and never did). 5. But my main complaint is with the management, in which Ill file complaints with any and every group that I can. They are simply inept, unqualified, rude, and lazy. Im in my 20s - not an old lady who needs constant quiet. And Im not someone who expects the world out of these people. I just expect them to do what they say they will - but that aparently is a VERY hard task for even the manager to do. Id suggest RUNNING over to The Marquis next door as they are surely superior to the morons at this complex.
