I moved in because of the renovations that were taking place at this complex. I moved in in April and the construction was said to be complete by May 31, 2008. It is January 2009 and we still do not have access to all the common areas. All last summer, we did not have a pool, fitness facilities, cook out areas and other common areas. And each time we spoke to management, they kept telling us a closer date. And speaking to a new resident, he moved in in September and they told him the construction would be done in October. How can you be 8 months past your date and not compensate your residents' We are paying for the common areas!! Don't trust their construction dates...I just stopped asking!

Besides this, the property is nice and shady. Interior of the apts is nice since it has been renovated.

I, too, am disgusted with the time it is taking to complete projects. Every day I drive in, only to see brown stucco (I like the nice cream color, dead shrubs, piles of dirt, and a rude staff. *sigh*

There was nothing wrong with this complex under La Mirage. Everything was just fine. After the sale of the complex to Dallas based JPI everything goes to hell in a hand basket. Staff is replaced with rude, lying robots ... Rents go up ... pool is torn up in the middle of swim season, gym is torn up, business center is torn up ... all amenities they charge rent for and are not available for tenants ... they lied about completion dates till I left last October 2008 ... the amenities are still not fixed in Feb 2009 - 10 months after the so called "renovation". I was forced out of my apt (no compensation for the move) so they could "renovate" it. They sent me to a "renovated" apt with fake wood floors, fake black granite counter tops and increased my rent $130.00. I left immediately, along with the rest of the mass exodus ... I guess they don't read the news ... the economy is in recession, people are losing jobs and in January 2009 the news stated that Austin apartment tenant levels will drop more than 25%. If you want a great place to live ... go to Riata off of Hwy 183. I know Jerry Jones owns it (Dallas) ... but they take great care of their tenants.

I couldn't agree with you two more!! I got relocated because of work and thought this place could be called "home" more like "hell." I'm looking for a new place any other suggestions.

very nice staff as long as you dont question anything, or have a request or concern. its turning into a real dump, that is more overpriced than its neighbors. this complex should be in east austin.

And now it is mid March and the pool and other common areas are not done yet. It has been over a year in renovations. Lies, lies, lies. I question people who work for a company who have to lie all the time.
