I was about to live in this apartment complex, and I had almost gone to court over the deceptive practice used by the manager in order to get me to sign a lease. He showed me an apartment that was nicely furnished by a particularly clean tenant, and I found that particular apartment unit to be fair enough from what I could see. I was pressured to sign the lease, and stupid me I decided why not. Later, this manager tried to switch me to another apartment, and I refused to take it. I also wanted out because I started realizing I might have problems with this deviant crook.

He lied to me and reassured me that I had that particular apartment he showed me, when in fact the residents were never planning to move out of it. When I surprised the SOB by making an issue out of it the day I was supposed to move in, he threatened to do all sorts of legal action against me. I demanded he return my deposit, because the apt he signed me into was not available. He just laughed at me and threatened me with more legal action.

Make things short, I almost went to court over it and I finally got my deposit back, direct from the owner's plush downtown suite, just as I was about to seriously go to court over it.

The owner of this Apartment is guilty of hiring such a cheap, surly manager that uses underhanded tactics to rent out apartments. I can guarantee you that this is the cheapest management you can get. It is not worth the cheap renting price.
