Nicest in Far West

If you're looking to live in an apartment in Far West, Juniper Springs seems to be the best one around. I've visited friends in many of the other complexes in Far West, and in several years of living at Juniper Springs, thankfully have not had the problems they've had (lots of roaches/ creatures, hot water going off randomly, water turned off frequetly, bathroom & bedroom doors that never close, car break-ins, etc). As with any place, there is good & not-so-good, but for me the good definitely weighs more heavily: the rent is very reasonable for a nice, large apartment; HUGE closets (much bigger than anywhere else I've seen); there is free, well-lit covered parking & I can find spots by my door pretty easily (I feel safe in the parking lot late at night - a big deal to me); the laundry room takes a pre-loaded card (so you don't need to scrounge for quarters!); friendly office staff who are willing to be flexible with prices & lease terms; they'll do errands (I've gotten dry cleaning & library books picked up & they've gone to the post office for me - wonderful time saver!!); nice maintenance staff; pretty layout; gated; maintenance usually comes quickly; relatively roach-free (we are in TX, though, but they will spray as often as you want); close to UT shuttle & busses; EXTREMELY convenient location; plenty of places to throw out trash & recylcing (this is also a big deal, b/c I've had friends in complexes who have to walk really far to throw out trash); decent work-out room (which is definitely adequate b/c it's used by a lot of residents, but I still prefer my gym); other residents pretty nice & friendly; good pet policies. Not-so-good: relatively thin walls/windows (usually fine, except when you have a bad neighbor, which is just luck of the draw - I am VERY sensitive to noise & it's fine unless you have a technology-happy neighbor); lots of crickets (although again, this is TX, & it's usually when it's really warm or hot); no laundry hook-ups in apartments; no gate code, so always bring your gate card; older complex. While Juniper Springs is not perfect, it seems to be the best in Far West. It's safe, nice, clean, the staff are friendly & helpful, and I feel like they help rather than take advantage. FYI, I am a VERY picky & finicky person, and I've been at Juniper Springs for 4 years & just re-signed, so as far as I'm concerned, this is the best you'll find for the money & area as far as apartments go.

Quick question..... what part of the complex do you live at? I have talked to many neighbors from different parts of the complex and they have all had horrible roach infestations.
